    There is actually no connected curve in “Ki”. That connected curve was created when the character was created for typing or computer fonts. Same goes for “Sa”. So follow the way I have it written.

    @videofreek112 In written Japanese the “ki” with the opening is standard (what all kids in Japan learn). The “ki” without the opening came about for typing and printing. (The same goes for “sa”). So both are right.
